Getting started

Do I need to create an account?

No. Open getjobsolve.com/app and start. There’s no sign-up, password or email to give us. Everything you enter is saved in your own web browser on your own device.

What should I do first?

  1. Click Log your first application and add a job you’ve applied to (company and role are enough).
  2. Add a few more, including jobs you’re thinking about applying to (they go in Saved).
  3. Go to Backup and download a backup file, so your work is safe.

Can I look around before adding my own jobs?

Yes. On the first screen, click Explore with example data to fill JobSolve with a sample job search. When you’re ready to start for real, go to Backup → Erase everything and add your own.

Adding jobs

Add a job by hand

Click + New application at the bottom of the left menu. Fill in what you know (company, role, where you found it, pay, the link to the posting) and pick its stage.

Save a job straight from a job site

The JobSolve Chrome extension saves the posting you’re looking at, including the company, title, location, pay, closing date and the full job description. You keep the description even after the posting comes down. The extension is in testing and will be in the Chrome Web Store soon.

Bring in jobs from a spreadsheet

Already tracking jobs in Excel or Google Sheets? Save the sheet as a CSV file (Excel: File → Save As → CSV; Google Sheets: File → Download → CSV). Then in JobSolve go to All jobs → Import spreadsheet or Backup → Open CSV file, and choose which column is which.

Can I get my jobs out again?

Yes. All jobs → Export spreadsheet downloads a CSV you can open in Excel or Google Sheets.

Tracking and follow-ups

Moving a job through the stages

Open Pipeline and drag a job’s card from one column to the next: Saved, Applied, Phone screen, Interviewing, Offer. You can also open any job and change its stage there. JobSolve keeps a timeline of every change.

Follow-up reminders

When you mark a job as applied, JobSolve sets a follow-up reminder for 7 days later. Reminders show up under Next up on the Home page, along with interviews and deadlines. Click Mark followed up when you’ve done it.

Weekly goals

On the Home page, This week tracks applications and networking against your weekly goals. Click a goal number to change it.

Add interviews to my calendar

Under Next up, click Add all to my calendar to download a calendar file. It opens in Google Calendar, Outlook or Apple Calendar.

Insights

Insights shows how your search is going: how many applications get a call back, which job sources work best for you, and how long employers take to reply.

Interviews, assignments and offers

Interview prep lists your upcoming interviews, likely questions for the role, and your own STAR stories to practice. Assignments keeps take-home tests and case studies in one place, with the prompt, your files, the due date and any feedback you got. Offers lets you compare offers side by side: pay, bonus, benefits and your own notes.

Resumes

In Resumes you can build a resume from a template or upload one you already have as a PDF. Keep a version for each kind of role, and note which version you sent to each job. Built resumes download as PDF or Word. The job feed gives every job a match score that shows how well it fits your resume, so you know which ones are worth your time.

AI resume tailoring and cover letters are coming soon as an optional add-on.

Job feed

The Job feed brings new jobs to you. Add the companies you want to work for to your watchlist (if they post jobs on Greenhouse, Lever or Ashby), plus searches for remote jobs, with the titles, places and minimum pay you want. New matches appear in the feed, and the number next to Job feed in the menu tells you how many are new. Click Save to pipeline on a job to add it to your search, or Not interested to hide it. JobSolve never applies for you: you always apply on the employer’s own site.

Your data and backups

Where is my information stored?

In the web browser you use JobSolve in, on that device. It isn’t uploaded to us or anyone else, so we can’t see it, sell it or lose it in a data breach.

Back up every week or two. Your data lives only in that one browser. Clearing your browser history and “site data”, using a private/incognito window, or getting a new computer means JobSolve starts empty. A backup file protects you from all of that. JobSolve reminds you on the Home page when it’s been a while.

How do I back up?

  1. Click Backup in the left menu.
  2. Click Download backup file.
  3. Keep the file somewhere safe, like Google Drive, Dropbox or an email to yourself.

How do I restore a backup?

Go to Backup → Open backup file and choose your file. This replaces whatever is in JobSolve in that browser with what’s in the backup.

How do I delete everything?

Backup → Erase everything removes all your jobs, resumes and files from that browser. Download a backup first if you might want them later.

Phone and other devices

Can I use JobSolve on my phone?

Yes. Open getjobsolve.com/app in your phone’s browser. To get an app icon: on iPhone, tap the Share button, then Add to Home Screen; on Android, tap the ⋮ menu, then Add to Home screen or Install app.

How do I move my jobs to another computer or phone?

Each device and each browser keeps its own copy. To move your search, download a backup on the old one and restore it on the new one (see backups). Automatic, encrypted sync between your devices is planned.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Once you’ve opened JobSolve, it keeps working without internet. The job feed needs internet to find new jobs.

Pricing, trial and refunds

How much does JobSolve cost?

$49, one time, after a 14-day free trial. No subscription, and it covers up to 3 devices.

What if it’s not for me?

Email support@getjobsolve.com within 30 days of buying for a full refund, no questions asked.

What are the AI plans?

Optional add-ons for AI resume tailoring and cover letters (coming soon). AI Plus is $9/month for 150 credits and AI Pro is $19/month for 500 credits. If you’d rather not subscribe, buy a Job Search Pass ($25 for 400 credits, good for 90 days) or a top-up pack ($10 for 150 credits). Unused monthly credits roll over to the next month. You never need AI to use JobSolve.

Troubleshooting

JobSolve opened empty and my jobs are gone

Your jobs are almost always still there, just in a different place. Check these in order:

  1. Same browser? Jobs saved in Chrome don’t show up in Safari or Edge, and the reverse.
  2. Private or incognito window? Those start empty and erase everything when closed. Use a normal window.
  3. Same address? Use getjobsolve.com.
  4. Cleared your browser data? That erases JobSolve too. Restore your most recent backup file from Backup → Open backup file.

The page looks out of date or broken

Refresh the page. If that doesn’t fix it, close the tab and open getjobsolve.com/app again.

A job description didn’t save from the extension

Some job sites block it. Open the job in JobSolve and paste the description under Saved job posting yourself.

Still stuck?

Email support@getjobsolve.com. Tell us what you clicked, what you expected and what happened, and attach a screenshot if you can. Please don’t send your backup file unless we ask, since it holds your personal job search.
